Barbara Whaley

Barbara Ann Steele Whaley, 88, entered eternal life on December 10, 2021, at Rosedale Green in Covington, Kentucky.

She was born in Owingsville, Kentucky on November 22, 1933, to the late Allen and Alline Steele.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Steele.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 66 years, David Jerry Whaley, her daughter, Jerryl A. Nienaber (John) of Lakeside Park, Kentucky, two grandsons; David Nienaber (Moreen) of Fort Wright, Kentucky and Mark Nienaber (Kate) of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.  Barbara is also survived by seven great grandchildren; Ella, Luke, Nicholas, Thomas, Anna, Ruth and Caroline and one niece, Tera Coyle (Brandon) of Owingsville.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her other family.  She was a very faith filled person and attended the Florence Christian Church.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Longview Cemetery in Bethel with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Tuesday at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the United Christian Volunteer fund at 15 Kenton St. Elsmere, Kentucky 41018 or Rosedale Green, 4250 Glenn Ave. Covington, Kentucky 41015.
