Betty Kestel

Betty Kestel, 84, of Parrish, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Betty was born on January 21, 1939, to the late Carl and Nettie Kidwell in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Spending time with her family was something Betty truly enjoyed throughout her life. She counted every moment spent with each family member as a gift.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life John Fred Kestel Jr., one son, John Fred Kestel III, and one brother Marvin Kidwell.

Survivors include her daughter Holly Watts (Ken) of Parrish, FL, four grandchildren; Candice Hanson (Logan), Lacy Duncan (Troy), Presley Watts, Ben Kestel, numerous great grandchildren, and several other friends and family members who will miss her dearly. 

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville, with Pastor Lowell Rice officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery located at 710 S Broadway St. Georgetown, KY 40324. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday.

Pallbearers include, Troy Smith, Joseph Jones and Karl Baker IV.
