Betty Riddle

Betty Scott Riddle, 75, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home.

She was born on November 2, 1945 in Eskdale, West Virginia to the late Claude Scott and Lizzie Alice Ingle Scott.

Betty was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She attended the City of Refuge Church in Olympia, Kentucky.  She enjoyed gardening, singing in church and shopping at the Dollar Tree.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Kelsey, one brother, Alan Scott, two sisters; Dorothy McClurg and Pat Amburgey, two grandchildren; Jessica Sturgill and Steven Hickerson.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Tony Riddle, one son, Jeff Scott, two daughters; Karen Manley and Libby Smith all of Owingsville, one brother, James Scott (Marsha) and one sister, Lydia Montgomery both of Morehead, Kentucky, thirteen grandchildren; Hannah Scott, Selena Mollohan (Brian), Willie Scott, Audra Scott all of Morehead, Jeffery Scott of Greenup County, Kentucky, Eugene Kelsey (Amber), Melanie Abernathy(Zac) both of Lexington, Kentucky, Lynsey Kelsey of Morehead, Tonya Smith, Tony Smith, Alison Sturgill (Zach) all of Owingsville, Felecia Adkins (Derick) of Mt. Sterling and Trisha Sorrell (Ryan) of Owingsville, seventeen great grandchildren; Dakota, Summer, Presley, Harley, Alexia, Savannah, Chloi, Jessie, Jeffery, Olivia, Zyler, Zylie, Zaelynn, Cassie, Ryker, Gannon and Asher.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Mike Munday and Pastor Randall Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers include; Jeff Scott, Zach Sturgill, Tony Smith, Ryan Sorrell, Tracey Riddle, Phillip Riddle Jr., Terry Riddle and Gary Riddle.

Honorary pallbearers include; Chuck Riddle, Willie Scott, Andrew Miller, Terry Lowe and Kevin Sturgill.
