Billy Wayne Copher, 58, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home with his beloved family by his side.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on August 17, 1961 to Alton Copher and the late Evelyn Terry Copher.
Billy was a graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology. He retired after 25 years of working at Toyota as a logistics specialist. He was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God where was also a member of the choir. He belonged to the Owingsville Lions Club and Bath Masonic Lodge # 55. Billy was a hard-working individual who always provided for his family and was always willing to help others. He enjoyed woodworking, University of Tennessee Athletics, building model cars and could play almost any instrument.
He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Terry Copher. His mother in law Wanda Buckner passed away on January 17, 2021.
Survivors include his wife Rhonda Buckner Copher, his daughter Alison Copher, his father Alton Copher all of Owingsville. Also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Owingsville First Church of God with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Visitation at the Owingsville First Church of God will be from 6 - 7 PM Friday.
The family has requested everyone wear orange.
On behalf of Mr. Copher's family, contributions are suggested to the Owingsville First Church of God.
