Mr. Bobby Rogers Snedegar, 87, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Monday afternoon at his residence. He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on September 6, 1931 to the late Raymond T. and Frances Rogers Snedegar.
Mr. Snedegar was a lifelong farmer and was a Federal Tobacco Grader for more than forty years. He was a member of the Owingsville Christian Church, Bath County Cattlemen's Association, a former board member of the Bath County Farm Bureau and was the first Bath County agricultural student to win the American Star Farmer Award.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Jean Stewart Snedegar and a brother-in-law, Milt Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Stewart T Snedegar and his wife Mary Glenna of Owingsville. Three grandsons; Jordan (Leslie) Snedegar, Jacob Snedegar and Joseph (Jessica) Snedegar. One brother E. H. Snedegar and his wife Mary Sue of Owingsville. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Chris Bailey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 4:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday.
Pall bearers will be Jordan Snedegar, Jacob Snedegar, Joseph Snedegar, Earl Rogers, Jr., Omer Rogers, Bobby Clark Rogers, Robert Earl Snedegar, Rogie Coyle and Charlie Kissick. Honorary Pall bearers will be Marshall Coyle, Arnold Lee Davis, Billy Gray, Jr., Willie S. Vanlandingham, Taylor Snedegar, Charlie Walker, Dr. Ben Wilson, Dustin Bailey and Steven Bach.
