Brenda Adkins

Brenda Alice Adkins, 73, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was born on September 30, 1947 in Hellier, Kentucky to the late Johnny Damron and Elizabeth "Betty" Glossip Damron.

Brenda was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and fishing.  She was a simple woman who loved spending time with her beloved family and her grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Adkins who passed away in 2017 and five siblings.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Ray Adkins Jr. (Tina) of Owingsville, three daughters, Martha Lynn Damron, Tammy Lou Adkins and Laura Smith all of Owingsville, two brothers, Stanley Damron (Barb) of Illinois and Reese Damron (Carol) of Louisa, Kentucky.  Survivors also include her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 16, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Barbara Damron officiating.

Burial will follow in the Adkins Family Cemetery in Peasticks.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers will include her grandchildren.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Brenda Alice Adkins.
