Bud Lyons Sr.

Mr. Bud Patrick Lyons Sr. 65, of Owingsville, passed away suddenly Monday, November 4, 2019 at his home.

He was born on July 28, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Benjamin & Dee Lyons

Bud was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching U.K. Basketball, playing with his dog and farming in his younger years.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Jane Lyons who passed away in April of 2000, his stepmother who helped raise him, Edith Lyons, four sisters, Katherine Clemons, Helen Cokley, Norma Alton, Emilee Ruth Lyons and one great grandchild Caiden Clevinger.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra McPherson (Timmy Jones) of Owingsville and Charlene Lyons of Denniston, KY, one son Bud Patrick Lyons Jr. (Casey Beth) of Owingsville, five brothers, Ralph Lyons (Lisa), Vernon Lyons, David Lyons (Alisha) all of McKee, KY, Frankie Lyons of Lexington, KY and Michael Lyons (Kim) of Berea, KY, five sisters, Susan Marcum (Harold) of Lexington, KY, Mildred Hisle of Nashville, TN, Patty Rose of Berea, KY, Patricia Lyons and Georgia Clemons both of McKee, KY. Survivors also include eight grandchildren, Casandra McPherson Mendez, Taylor Lyons, Danielle Lyons,  Kevin McPherson, Kristen McPherson Mendez, Haley Lyons, Selena Zavaleta and Emilee Lyons, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Rodney Coffey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home Owingsville will be from 6 - 8 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will include, Timmy Jones, Drew Forkner, Lee Sebastain, Kevin Mcpherson, Clemente Mendez, Uziel Mendez, Morgan McPherson and Dillion McPherson.
