Carolyn Sue Treadway, 79, of Sharpsburg, Kentucky passed in the comfort of her home on April 3, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1945 in Bourbon County, Kentucky to the late Ernest Townsend and Gladys Lee Clem Oder.

Carolyn was a member of the Howards Mill First Church of God and enjoyed the time with her church family and attending church functions. She was known for her love of playing cards, engaging in word searches, and watching soap operas. Her fondness for camping allowed her to connect with nature and her family, creating moments of laughter and warmth. Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

She cherished the time she spent with her family and was especially grateful to Bobby and Christy who opened their home and cared for her and her husband Bobby in their last years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Treadway, who departed this world on October 25, 2008, four sisters, Rosie Lee Townsend, Ethel Barnett, Pearlie Louise York, and Marie Talbot, and one brother, John Townsend.

She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Clay and her husband Terry, Lisa Preston and her fiance Michael Keeton, her son, Bobby Gene Treadway and his wife Christy, one step-son, Jeff Treadway, and three step-daughters, Debbie Turner and her husband David, JoAnne Treadway, and Sherry Price, four grandchildren, Casey Oney and her husband Lacey, Calley Treadway and her fiance Dylan Bartley, Caleen Treadway and her companion James Meade, Chris Clay and his wife Amber, three special grandchildren, Shelby, Morgan and Dalton Hedges, step-grandchildren, Robert, Derek, and Brittany Price, Dusty and Travis Treadway, David and Jeremy Turner, Daranda McGlothin, Jahanna Hess, and Samantha Morford, three great-grandchildren, Kylee Oney, Nicole Rose and Gracie Faith Clay, three sisters, Maxine Watkins, Mary Anna Barryman, Charlotte Morrison, and one brother, Larry Townsend, her family extends to many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville, Kentucky with Pastor David Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Kentucky.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025.

Pallbearers include Lacey Oney, Dylan Bartley, James Meade, Michael Keaton, Kenny Smith, and Charlie York.
