Together they started a family and several businesses, Holland Floor Covering, Holland Fabric Center and Holland Rental Investments, all of which they operated in Lexington for more than 50 years, until retiring. Although a successful businessman, Charles believed honesty and integrity to be the most important traits in operating his businesses and in life. Charles loved to travel all over the world, but there was nothing he loved more than his family and he could not have been prouder of his daughters and grandchildren. In his final days, he loved seeing pictures of his happy and healthy great-grandson Niall.
Visitation in honor of Charles will be held on Sunday, March 24th 5-8 pm at North View Baptist Church and the funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 25th at North View Baptist Church with the Reverend Terry Murphy officiating.
The burial will follow at the Holland Family Cemetery in Bath County with the Reverend Lowell Rice officiating followed by full military honors performed by American Legion Post 22.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
