Cheryl Marie Young

Cheryl Marie Young, 76, of Owingsville, KY passed away on Monday March 17, 2025.  She was born on April 14, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH to the late John F. Hall and Audrey Thompson Hall.  Cheryl graduated from Minford High School in Minford, OH in the class of 1966.  She was a longtime faithful member of the Church of Christ. 

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother Bernard Hall, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hall and Mavis Crabtree, and brother-in-law, Terry Geer. 

Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 59 years, Michael Young Sr., one daughter, Tina Lautzenheiser (David) of Paris, KY, one son, Michael Young (Sharon) of Farmers, KY, seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Christina, Amanda, Jimmy, Audrey, Neileasha and Victoria, six great-grandchildren:  Lily, Johnathan, Cora, Liam, Jason and Ava.  She is also survived by three brothers, John Hall Jr. of Sciotoville, OH, Ronald Hall of Dayton, OH and George Hall of Sciotoville, OH, one sister, Carolyn Geer of Nashville, TN and many more nieces and nephews. 

Cheryl was a homemaker, known for her crocheting, no-bake cookies and her love of hummingbirds. 

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2025, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Cheryl's nephew, Minister Shaun Young officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Owingsville Cemetery. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2025.
