Cuba Rister

Cuba Bolen Rister, 93, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away at her home Saturday, March 27, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 16, 1927 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Elza Bolen and Anna May Wooten Bolen.

Cuba was a homemaker and a member of the Little Bethany Church in Jeffersonville, Kentucky.  She enjoyed quilting, shopping, gardening and taking nice long walks.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Rister, one daughter, Patty Ann Rister and fifteen siblings.

Survivors include her four daughters; Bonnie Jones (Steve) of Jeffersonville, Brenda Johnson (Ronnie) of Louisville, Kentucky, Connie Cassidy of Mt. Sterling and Belinda White (Jimmy) of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, one son, James Rister (Vickie) of Jeffersonville, five sisters; Cora Reed (Ray) of Springboro, Ohio, Betty Hill, Cat Conley, Wanda Stickney and Annie Jacobs all of Willard, Ohio and one brother, Roy Bolen (Norma) of Ohio. Survivors also include her eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Willie Sloan officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6 - 9 Tuesday.

Pallbearers will include; Chad White, Scotty White, Travis Cassidy, Hayden Cassidy, Mike Idle, Donnie Sowder, Mike Price and Todd Tout.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Steve Jones, Vickie Rister and Jimmy White.
