David Carey
May 11, 1938 — March 11, 2015
David L. Carey, 76, of Owingsville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center. David was an amazing Man of God who lived life devoted to family and those in need. He worked 17 years in a steel mill in Indiana and later as a truck driver in Kentucky. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many.
David was born on May 11, 1938 in Kokomo, Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart, Janice Lou Mullens on September 14, 1956. They have four children, Michael Carey of Warren, Indiana, Rebecca Still of Bolivar, Missouri, Lucinda Purvis of Owingsville, Kentucky and Teresa Chandler of Owingsville, Kentucky. He has 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Anderson.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Owingsville First Church of God in Owingsville, Kentucky. Also there will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m., at Onward Christian Church in Onward, Indiana.
