Derrick J. Helton, 32, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on January 03, 1990. The son of Eric Helton and Rebecca Maze Helton.
Derrick had a very friendly and engaging personality. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, going on vacation and playing and singing music. He greatly loved watching the rodeos, whether it be a live show or on television he enjoyed it. Derrick always took pride in how he dressed and loved to shop for clothing. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chase Michael Helton and paternal grandparents, Randy and Brenda Helton.
Survivors include his father, Eric Helton (Kristine) of Owingsville and his mother, Rebecca Maze Helton, Cathy Highley (Bobby Cline) who he also called mom, maternal grandparents, Linda Crouch and Willis Crouch all of Salt Lick, two sisters, Skylynn Helton of Owingsville and Alexis Maze of Salt Lick, several stepbrothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews and special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Billy Hunt officiating.
Burial will follow at the Crouch Cemetery on 211 in Salt Lick.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 12 noon - 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers include Caden Skaggs, Scottie McNabb, Justin Crouch, Logan Royce, Greg Copher, Chris Crouch and Chris Withrow.
