Earl Lee Whitton 92 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 13, 2021.
He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on June 13, 1928 the son of the late Holden Lee Whitton and Mary Ethel Royce Whitton.
He was married to his beloved wife, Wilma Jean Young for sixty two years. Earl proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He was a highly respected supervisor for 35 years at Reliance Electric in Madison Indiana. He was a devout Christian, as well as a member and deacon of Liberty Christian Church of Madison Indiana for over fifty years.
Earl was Past Master and member of Union Lodge #2 F &AM, and a member of the American Legion Post 9 of Madison, IN, as well as belonging to Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking and extensive travel, were his favorite pastimes.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his older brother, James O. Whitton and his wife Christine and his sister Lorena M. Staton and her husband Ben.
He is survived by his son, Anthony E. Whitton (Charlotte), two grandsons, Scott and Brent (Dodie), one brother John R. Whitton (Katy) one sister-in-law Nancy Doggett
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow at the Longview Cemetery in Bethel, Kentucky.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from noon to 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
