Edwin Rice

Ed was a Bath County native. He was a member of the Slate Valley Christian Church. Ed was a farmer and former tobacco warehouse employee. He was a WWII Veteran and a Ky Colonel Chairman of the Board at Slate Valley Christian Church for 56 years.

Ed is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Rice of Mebane, North Carolina; one son, James (Karen) Rice of Mebane, North Carolina; one grandson, Nathan (Kristin) Rice of Pinehurst, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Samantha (Taylor) Ashby of Greensboro, North Carolina; four sisters, Louise Meeks of Louisville, Frances Manley of Mt. Sterling, Eula Pettit of Salt Lick and Roxie Voyle of Louisville. Ed is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Rice and Clara Highley and one sister, Evelyn Dahlrot.
