Elizabeth Matthews

Elizabeth Lee Bailey Matthews of Lexington, Kentucky, 94 years of age, passed away on March 22, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Charles Bailey and Nanny Bailey of Owingsville, Kentucky. She is loved and will be missed by her family consisting of four sons, Bobby, Albert, Raymond and Charles Bailey Matthews; two daughters, Jean Goins and Nancy McKechnie. She has eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday and always sent cards and wishes. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Bailey and Charles Bailey, Jr. and one sister, Katherine Shields.

She was a proud Kentucky Colonel and was retired from Collins Bowling Centers, Inc. She attended Northeast Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Richie Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at Richie Hunt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel, Kentucky. Rev. Whit Criswell will be officiating.
