Mr. Emel "Frankey" Adams, 53 of Owingsville passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital - Main in Lexington after a brief illness. He was born September 22, 1964, to the late Emel and Birdie Adams in West Liberty Kentucky.
Frankey was a mechanic at Bob's Machine Shop in Owingsville where he took great pride in his work. He had a passion for building drag racing cars and loved spending time at the track. He also was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Wendall Short Adams.
Survivors include his wife Melonda W. Adams. One daughter Bridgette Williams and wife Shannon Warner of Mt. Sterling. Three sons; Joshua D. Williams of Mt. Sterling, Shane Williams and his wife Melissa of Owingsville, Jonathon Frankey Adams and wife Sandy of Lousia. Four brothers: Lawrence Adams and wife Norma Jean, John Adams and wife Barb, Gary "Squeak" Adams and wife Janet, Emel Adams and wife Linda. Four sisters: Wanda Lewis and husband J.B., Joann Elmore and husband Mike, Linda Adams and Angela Adams. Four grandchildren Christian, Kiera, Jasmine, and Little Frankey Williams. Survivors also include a special niece and nephew Jackie and Vinson and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 P.M. Monday July 2, 2018 at the Faith Baptist Church in Cannel City with Bro. Jeff Adkins Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oney Cemetery in Cannel City.
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Monday at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
Pallbearers will include Shane Williams, Jonathon Frankey Adams, Josh Williams, Bridgette Williams, Eddie Meeks and Derrek Parmley.
