Evelyn Jane Corbin

Mrs. Evelyn Jane ("Janie") Denton Corbin, 70, of Owingsville passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on July 20, 1948, to the late Burl and Dorothy Reed Denton.

Janie was retired after 33 years  from Jockey International in Carlisle and was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God.  She had also worked at Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester.

She was a graduate of Maysville Community College, where she was the top in her class.  She enjoyed reading, Facebook, spending time with her family, shopping, clothes and always wanted to look her best.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her  grandparents, aunts, uncles and special grandmother, Mattie Nealis Reed.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde "Sonny" Corbin, one son Michael Todd  (Julie Crum) Corbin of Winchester and three sisters, Peggy (Bobby) Coyle, Lana (Larry) Routt and Mary Miller all of Owingsville.  Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Owingsville First Church of God with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Visitation at the church is from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.
