Mrs. Frances Green Copher, age 92, daughter of the late Johnnie and Bessie Green of Preston, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 after a long illness.
She was a member of the Preston Church of God and a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, and sew. She loved to spend most of her free time outside either in the garden or watering her many flowers.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Copher, four brothers, Edward, Asa, Henry and Clediouth Green, two sons, Carl (Buck) McVey and Charles Ray McVey, one daughter, Regina Cline and one niece, Judy Green.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcella (John) Manley of Ohio, three sons, Daniel (Alice) McVey of Ohio, Scott (Theresa) McVey of Frenchburg, Alan (Donna) McVey of Bath County, daughter-in-law, Sharon McVey, eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Basler, Tiffany Brotherton, Amberely McVey, Jason McVey, Opie Knox, D. J. McVey, Rebecca Leach, Tina Jackson, Robbie McVey, Jeff Cline and Ottum Cline, two nephews, Jeff Green and Todd Green and one niece, Gloria Metz. Other family members include Steve Price and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at the Kendall Springs Cemetery on Saturday, May 2, 2020 with the Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Pallbearers will be Todd Green, Ben Green, Zak Metz and Ken Metz.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all arrangements.
