Mr. Gregory Nelson Adkins, Age 41 of Owingsville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born March 11, 1975 in Morehead, Kentucky, the son of Charles and Peggy Brierley Adkins.
Greg was a former supervisor at Nestle and a former First Responder and a former member of the Bath County Search and Rescue Squad. A member of the Owingsville United Methodist Church, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by twin sons, Julian Lane Adkins and Chancelor Paige Adkins, maternal grandparents Caywood and Farris Brierley and paternal grandparents Clyde and Lorene Adkins.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Peggy Brierley Adkins of Owingsville. One son Xander Ashton Adkins of Owingsville, one daughter, Jules Elizabeth Adkins of Owingsville, his former wife, Wendy Williamson and his former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Ginger Davis. Also, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Anthony Anderson and Rev. Ron Hill officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Dailey Ginter,Jr., John Corey, Roger Davis, Bobby Goodpaster, Tim Penick, Danny Ginter, Johnny Harless, Chad Rogers and B. A. Franklin.
