Hazel Spencer

Hazel Marie Eldridge Spencer, 87, of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 after an extended illness.

She was born in Owingsville, Kentucky on July 25, 1934 to the late James Rueben Eldridge and Lillie Mae Morris Eldridge.

Hazel was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with her beloved family.  She enjoyed being outdoors, quilting, playing Rummy and catching all the good yard sales.  She also loved listening to country and gospel music and was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters; Wanda Jones, Loretta Williamson and Sandra Utterback, one grandson, Coty Spencer, four brothers; James, Frank, Johnnie and George Eldridge and one sister, Lena B. Wright.

Survivors include three daughters; Elsie Spencer of Morehead, Edna Caudill (Charles) of Mt. Sterling and Bobbie Spencer of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, one son, Ed. Spencer (Tracy) of Jeffersonville, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Ken Cude officiating.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday.
