Jeanette Anderson

Mrs. Jeanette Hovermale Anderson, 72, of Owingsville, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the St. Joseph - Mt. Sterling Hospital.

She was born on January 1, 1946 on Slate Avenue in Owingsville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late T. J. and Naomi “Peachie” Reed Hovermale.

Mrs. Anderson was a retired Ward Clerk, having worked for many years at Mary Chiles Hospital.

She was a 1963 graduate of Bath County High School and attended Morehead State University, as a business major.

Jeanette was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God, having been baptized on April 9, 1980 by Brother Lowell Rice.

She was a big UK Fan, an excellent cook and she enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, puzzle books, watching Family Feud and was a big Steve Harvey fan.

Jeanette was a good wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul Travis Anderson, who was killed in an automobile accident on June 7, 2014 and one sister, Fay Thomas Cook.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Thomas H. Anderson, whom she married on December 23, 1967, one son, Paul Thomas Anderson and his wife, Danette of Owingsville, two grandchildren, Jonathan Wyatt Anderson and Madison Brooke Anderson and one cousin, Bobby Allen Warren of Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice and Rev. Jack Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.

Visitation is after 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Derek Rogers, Floyd Thomas Anderson, Jonathan Wyatt Anderson, Allen Wayne Anderson, Donnie Shrout, John Barry Staton, David Crockett, Rodney Donathan and Devin Roberts.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Reed.
