Jewell Withrow

Mrs. Jewell Dean Proffitt Withrow, 78, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Windsor Care Nursing Home in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

She was born on March 16, 1941 in Menifee County to the late William Roscoe & Lona Donathan Proffitt.

Jewell was a member of the Hedrick Community Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching W.L.J.C. and listening to gospel music.  She also dearly loved her dog pearl.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Owen Withrow, her son, Robert Earl Withrow, one sister, Barbara Proffitt and one brother, Raymond Proffitt.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Robinson (Garry) of Salt Lick, two sisters, Marie Oakley and Phyllis Carpenter both of Owingsville, her daughter in law, Stella Withrow of Owingsville, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Randall Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in the White Sulphur Cemetery in Salt Lick, Kentucky.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be after 6:00 P.M. Monday.

Pallbearers will include, Terry Rickenback, Matt Armitage, Marty Kemp, Mike Ginter, John Vice, John Tucker and honorary pallbearer, Martin Sorrell.

In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Hedrick Community Church in Salt Lick.
