Jimmy Burgess

Jimmy Edward Burgess, 70, of Bethel, Kentucky passed away Thursday morning, February 17, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on April 4, 1951 to the late Dave and Lucille Burgess.

Jimmy was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed cutting up, playing cards, fishing, going to bingo and mowing the lawn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Clemmie, RG, Chessy Howard and Emery.

Survivors include three sons; Daniel Burgess of Mt. Sterling, Samuel Burgess and Jimmy Joe Burgess both of Bethel, one sister, Noralee Hilton of Mt. Sterling, one grandson, George Trenton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Daniel Burgess officiating.

Burial will follow at the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Monday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
