Mr. John Henry Bowles, 82, of Sharpsburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on February 02, 1938 to the late Lum Henry Bowles and Maggie Bashford Bowles.
John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a dairy farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid fan of both the U.K. Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis White Bowles, one daughter Karen Bowles and seventeen siblings.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ramona Bowles and Anita Haney (Wenford) both of Sharpsburg, three grand children, John Paul Haney, Jared Haney and Jessica Copher and three great grandchildren, Jenna Haney, Jaylee Haney and Ella Haney. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery at Sharpsburg.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 6 - 8 P.M. Friday.
