John Brooks

John Arnold Brooks, 65, of Lexington formerly of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Grand Haven Nursing Home in Cynthiana.

He was born on September 18, 1952 in Bath County, Kentucky, a son of the late Henry and Sallie Owens Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was a member of the Greater First Baptist Church and he enjoyed attending Horse Shows.

He was a graduate of Bath County High School, where he played football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Brooks, Jr. and two sisters, Bessie Brooks and Dixie Dupree.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Brooks and Patricia Nealis both of Sharpsburg and several nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no services or visitation.
