John Kenneth Hunt, 77, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on March 15, 1944, to the late Ruben Hunt and Dorothy Blevins Hunt.
John was a lifelong farmer who also worked as a truck driver for Southern States for many years. He belonged to the Owingsville Lions Club and the Owingsville VFW. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and horses, hunting and loafing around his usual spots.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Bob" Hunt and one sister, Ella Marion Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Knight Hunt, three daughters; Danita Harmon (Mitch) of Carlisle, Kentucky, Stacy Lykins (Shannon) of Midland, Kentucky and Kelly Haskins (Randy) of Owingsville, one brother, Charles "Bud" Hunt of Owingsville, eight grandchildren; Jeremy Harmon (Melissa), Kyle Harmon (Mallory) both of Carlisle, Abbigail Lykins, Isabella Lykins and Kennady Lykins all of Salt Lick, Holly Haskins and Logan Haskins both of Owingsville. Sydney Robinson (Dustin) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, four great grandchildren, Griffin Harmon, Rhett Harmon, Grayson Harmon and Presley Wills and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 11 AM - 1 PM Monday.
