Mr. John Roberts Razor, 72, of Sharpsburg, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Mt. Sterling.
He was born on October 5, 1944 in Moorefield, Nicholas County, Kentucky, a son of the late Boone Razor, Sr. and Helen Marie Hamm Razor.
Mr. Razor was a farmer and a member of the Sharpsburg Christian Church.
Johnny loved working outside, gardening and spending time with his neighbors. He valued his family immensely and being surrounded by his grandchildren was his favorite pastime.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Boone Razor, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha (Glen) Greene and Alice Lynn (Mike) Cord all of Mt. Sterling, one brother, James Allen (Paula) Razor of Atlanta, Georgia, three sisters, Elizabeth Lee Lyons, Patty (Gary) Butcher and Vicki Steele all of Owingsville, five grandchildren, Bethany Greene, Logan Greene, Sydney Greene, Presley Cord and Sawyer Cord and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Glenn Emery officiating.
Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.
Pallbearers will be Walter Shrout, Blackie Harmon, Shirley Grimes, Barnes Compton, Glen Greene and Mike Cord.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Dunaway, Eddie Grimes, Larry Fryman, Joe Dicken, Alford Bailey and Tucker Bailey.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
