Johnny Lane Hardin, 79, a beloved family man and avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, passed away at Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a dedicated team leader at Winchester Coatings Inc. for many years, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.
Born in Fleming County, Kentucky, on November 8, 1944, to the late, Ike Hardin and Ella Faye Hardin. Johnny was known for his love of fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. His warm personality and passion for life touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta "Bertie" Hardin, one sister, Beatrice Mae, two daughters Kathy Lynn Hardin and Ella Jean Hardin, two brothers Albert "Ab" Hardin and Baby Boy Hardin, and three sisters Bonnie Crouch, Pauline "Polly" Stephens, and Wanda "Jean" Hardin.
He is survived by his loving wife Annette Hardin, two daughters Mary R. Mitchell and Stephanie Craycraft (Dodie), two brothers Ike Hardin and Joe Hardin (Mary), one sister Martha "Marthie" Merkel, eleven grandchildren - George Kelly Martin, Bryan Lee Mitchell (Victoria), Sheila Dawn Mitchell, Chelsea Rachelle Vairs (Jared), Jessica Vice, Dillon Vice, Katelyn Crouch, Brittany Pruitt, Tiffany Pruitt, Gabriel Nelson Martin, James "JJ" Allen Florence Jr., and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
A visitation to honor Johnny's life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Michael R Gray Funeral Home located at 89 Slate Ave in Owingsville, Kentucky with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
