Joseph Edward "Joe" Walton, 78, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
He was born on December 30, 1942 in Finley, Ohio to the late Paul Edward Walton and Myrtle Bailey Fowler.
Joe was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a simple man who never met a stranger. He worked many years as a foreman at Armco Steel and as a logger for Walton's Logging Company. He admired old cars, going to the dance halls and playing cards.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Teresea Fultz, two brothers; Winfred Walton and Kenneth Walton, four sisters; Janie Walton, Murlah Link, Maxine Heady Robinson and Juanita Walton.
Survivors include his companion, Mamie Denton, two step-sons; Randall Kuchel of Olympia, Kentucky and Gerald "Jerry" Kuchel (Melissa Murrell) of Morehead, Kentucky, three grandchildren; Joseph Kuchel, Heather Fultz, Leslie Kuchel, one great grandchild, Archer Barr and his niece, Debbie Walton of Salt Lick, Kentucky.
A memorial service for Joe will be held later.
