Karen Sue Ward

Karen Sue Ward, 64, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born in Morehead, Kentucky on December 23, 1958 to the late Chalmer Ward and Emma McIntosh Ward. 

Karen enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel on television, having good conversations on the telephone, taking long rides around by the lake and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Faye Seitz and two nieces, Tammy Parker and Peggy Seitz.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Kay Elliott (Delbert) of Mt. Sterling, one brother, Randell Ward (Karen) of Dayton, Ohio, two grandchildren, Dalton Ray Rothwell and Dustin Ryan Rothwell, one great grandchild, Kinsley Renee Dennis and one on the way, Daxton Ray Rothwell, one niece, Carol Johnson of Mt. Sterling, one nephew, Howard Seitz of Stanton, Kentucky and one great niece and three great nephews. 

Services will be announced at a later date. 

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Karen Sue Ward.
