Mrs. Kathy Diane Thompson Highley, 62 of Owingsville, passed away Wednesday evening at her home.
She was born June 2, 1957 in Montgomery County, Kentucky to the late John Edward and Pearl Lee Crockett Thompson.
Kathy was a 1975 graduate of Bath County High School and was a former employee of Key Electronics in Owingsville. She was a devoted University of Kentucky Wildcat fan and enjoyed Facebook, gardening, flowers, watching her soap operas, reading, playing Pioneerville and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Thompson and Rex Thompson.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Highley, two sons, Adam Highley and Troy Highley (Andrea Hawkins) all of Owingsville. Two brothers, Mitchell Thompson and Steve Thompson both of Preston. Three sisters, Brenda (Dirk) Pendleton and Jean Ingram all of Mt. Sterling and Linda (Denny) Shelley of Preston. Two grandchildren, Morgan Patrick and Mason Highley. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Nephews will serve as pall bearers. Her former co-workers will serve as honorary pall bearers.
