Lena Moore

Lena B. Moore, 83, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her home where she lived for over fifty years surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 27, 1937 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Ross Smith and Mazie Smith.

Lena enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an employee of Jockey International in Carlisle, A.O. Smith and Hill Top Nursing Home and was a dedicated member of the Tunnel Hill Church of God.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Moore, two sisters; Thelma Snelling and Faye White, one brother, James Smith and one great great grandson, Jayce McCarty.

Survivors include her husband of sixty six years, J.C. Moore, three sons; Larry Moore of Bethel, Kentucky, Gary Moore and Terry Moore both of Owingsville, two daughters; Connie Stidham of Ironton, Ohio and Teresa Bailey (Anthony) of Owingsville, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, one brother, Don Smith (Maxine) of Camargo, Kentucky, three sisters; Ivory Snelling of Stanton, Kentucky, Ruth Sexton of Jeffersonville, Kentucky and Mae Arnold of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, three half sisters; Peggy Link, Alice Manning (Paul) and Patty Kelly and one step brother, Ronnie Roseberry of Morgan County.

Funeral services will conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Mike Munday officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6 - 9 PM Monday.

Pallbearers will include; Blake Stephens, Austin McCarty, Richard Henderson, Junior Ginter, Mitchel Smith and Ricky Lopez.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Jacob Moore and Charles Smith.
