Leonard Blevins

Leonard Blevins, 81, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 28, 1939 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late James Clifford and Effie Jane Staton Blevins.

Leonard was a member of the Preston First Church of God.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the Blevins grocery whittling and most of all he loved spending time with his beloved family who was with him till the end.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Darlene Williams and Arlene Blevins and thirteen siblings.

Survivors include his wife Imiajean Blevins, one son, Douglas Blevins (Oveda) both of Owingsville, two daughters, Debbie Baker (Robert) and Kim Conkright (Tony) both of Mt. Sterling, one brother, David Blevins of Olympia and one sister, Glenna McNabb (Bill) of Carlisle, four grandchildren, Tiffany Howard, Russell Hamm, Wesley Hamm and Samantha Blevins, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Survivors also include two special sister in laws, Wilma Holbrook and Ina Short.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 27, 2020 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Bobby Tackett and Rev. Gary Boyd officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ingram Cemetery on Pine Grove Road in Olympia.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be after 11:00 A.M. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Tiffany Howard, Russell Hamm, Jeff Short, Riley Setters, Tyler Hamm, Michael Short, Marty Short and Kevin Tharp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Hazelbaker, David Blevins, Alvin Jones, Roger Conatser, Rube Blevins and Roger Holbrook.
