Marvin Lacy Conyers, 90 of Owingsville passed away Sunday morning at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead.
He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on June 14, 1928 to the late Morton and Martha Ellen Hart Conyers.
Marvin was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed driving his tractor, fishing, watching westerns, spending time with his family and friends and talking about the "old times". He was of the Christian faith.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene Conyers, Sherman Conyers and Adrian Conyers.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Betty Raye Wells Conyers, one son Johnny Conyers of Owingsville, Kentucky and one daughter, Marilyn Meeks and her husband Allen of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. One brother, Earl Conyers and his wife Wanda of Owingsville, Kentucky. One step-grandson Jason Meeks and his family of Louisville, Kentucky. Also several special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Pall bearers will be Brian Goodpaster, Adam Crockett, Larry Barber, Ricky Hart, Mike Orme, Charlie Orme. Honorary pall bearers will be Bobby Coyle, Roger Horseman, Charles Orme, Tommy Kiskaden and Larry Mikel.
