Mary Etta Buckler Coyle

Mary Etta Buckler Coyle, 81 of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024,  at Ridgeway Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville.

 She was born on August 6, 1943, in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Cleve Buckler and Nara Ellis Buckler.

Mary was a lifetime member of the Owingsville First Church of God. She was retired from Cowden's Manufacturing. She was a hard worker and excellent homemaker who kept a spotless home. She enjoyed mowing, working in her yard and going to church. She also found great joy in visiting friends and neighbors and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Coyle, three brothers, Aitkin Buckler, Omer "Buck" Buckler, and George Buckler, and  five sisters, Anna Lee Anderson, Ada Snelling, Elizabeth Crouch, Ottie Planck, and Lillie 'Louise' Fry.

She is survived by her son, Rogie (Brenda) Coyle, of Owingsville, one brother, Gene Buckler, of Morehead, two grandchildren, Brandon (Tera) Coyle and Robbie (Christy) Coyle, and three great-grandchildren, Ayden Coyle, Owen Coyle and Hudson Coyle. Two special sisters-in-law, Helen Staton and Kaye Buckler. Many special cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Also, her Owingsville First Church of God family who was very special to  her.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Lowell Rice officiating.

Burial will follow Longview Cemetery in Bethel, Kentucky.  

Visitation at the funeral home is on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM 

Pallbearers include Brandon Coyle, Robbie Coyle, Wendall Roberts, Billy Rogers, Chuck Kessler, Glynis Boggs, and Curtis Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers include Ayden Coyle, Owen Coyle, and Hudson Coyle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Owingsville First Church of God, P.O. Box 100, Owingsville, Kentucky 40360.
