Mary Manley

Mary Margaret Coyle Manley, 93 of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville after a brief illness.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on November 3, 1927 to the late Willie and Anna Stone Coyle.

She was married in 1945 to James Calvin Manley and he preceded her in death on January 13,  1983.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: Henry Coyle,  Avery Coyle and Raymond Coyle and one sister, Lucille Williams.

Mary Margaret was a member of the Owingsville United Methodist Church and was retired from the Bath County Health Department, where she had worked as a Community Health Worker.

Survivors include her children: Danny Manley, David (Charlotte) Manley, Marsha (Bill) Patrick all of Owingsville. Diane Manley and Mary Lois Butler both of Lexington, Kentucky and Jeanette George of Laurens, South Carolina. One sister, Edna Pearl Goodman of Columbia, Tennessee. Six grandchildren; Brian George, Mary Ellen George-Gupte, Bruce Manley, Patricia Manley Hornback, Lexie Centers and Erin Marie Patrick. Four great-grandchildren: Hannah Manley, Maggie Manley, Jaron Centers, Phoebe Centers.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastors Jeff Centers and Daniel Burch officiating.

Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Manley, Brian George, Bill Hornback, Gau Gupte, Jeff Centers and Bill Patrick. Honorary bearers will be Wendell Ingram, Roger Coyle, Rick Coyle, Tom Goldie, Tony Riddle and Tim Ray.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 5:00 pm  to 8:00 pm Monday.
