Mary Nettie Thomas Smith, 88, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on March 24, 1934, to the late Edward Thomas and Sarah Ethel Mullins Thomas.
Mary was a member of the Morehead House of Prayer. She enjoyed cooking, canning, going to yard sales and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Thomas, one sister, Bessie Norris, her granddaughter, Regina Anderson and one great great grandson, Caiden Clevinger.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Smith, two daughters; Linda Anderson (Charles) of Owingsville and Loretta Conkright (Tim) of Mt. Sterling, one son, Tyrone Smith (Rachel) of Morehead, Kentucky, one brother, Watson Thomas (Bonnie) of Owingsville, seven grandchildren; Emily Conkright, Austin Conkright, Cody Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Morgan Smith, Katie Smith and Andrea Bates, six great grandchildren; Kaleb Roberson, Christopher Clevinger, Isaiah Smith, Joshua Bates Jr. Jacob Anderson and Hunter Anderson and one great great grandson, Falcon Roberson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday, July 31, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice and Pastor Mike Munday officiating.
Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday.
Pallbearers include; Austin Conkright, Cody Anderson, Tim Conkright, Carl Griggs, Johnny Sturgill and Xander Hall.
Honorary pallbearers include; Watson Thomas and Josh Bates Sr.
