Mickey Dailey

December 5, 1961 — October 24, 2017

Mickey Hearlden Dailey, beloved husband and soulmate of Lisa  Calvert Dailey, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Dailey, his cherished sons, Dylan Dailey and Logan Dailey, his faithful mother in law, Bonnie Calvert; several aunts and uncles and his special friends, Tucker and Lisa Staton. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Nelson Dailey and Molly Dailey.

Mickey was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church. He was a farmer, hunter, sports fan, and worked with racehorses. He loved working with horses, coon hunting with his father and uncles, and watching UK Basketball. He loved his extended family and was a great fan of Bath County Wildcat sports, especially when his sons were playing.

He will be remembered by his friends and family for his ready smile, his quick wit, his mischievous sense of humor, and his skill at storytelling. Mickey never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation about any subject with anyone.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m, Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Michael R Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville, KY, with Rev. Roy Stacy and Rev. James Laiben officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.

Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral.

Pall bearers will be Danny Staton, Aaron Watson, Mike Razor, Earl Razor, David Dailey, Mark Dailey, Perry Barber and Charlie Thompson. Honorary bearers will be Steve Smathers, Nile Barnes, Elwood Spence, Sidney Harmon and Tommy Saunders.
