Nadine Young

Mrs. Nadine Bailey Young, 94, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on July 3, 1925 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Everett Martin Bailey and Nellie Cline Bailey.

Mrs. Young was a homemaker who had a soft and gracious personality. She and her late husband Eugene "Blue" Young were both known to travel to different churches to sing and share fellowship with others. In her later years she enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and tending to her strawberries in her garden. She was such a fun-loving spirit and deeply admired taking care of her family even when they thought they were caring for her.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Eugene "Blue" Young who passed away December 13, 2009, one son, Terry Gene Young who passed away December 21, 2019, one sister, Marthena Bailey and one daughter in law, Robin Young who passed away September 21, 2010.

Survivors include three sons; Nelson Young (Dollie) of Paris, KY, Nathan Young (Wilma) of Lexington, KY and Blaine Young (Annie) of Owingsville, KY, four sisters; Betty Wilhoit of Middletown, OH, Loretta Tincher of Paris, KY, Barbara Crouch of Sharpsburg and Judy Uhl of Jamestown, OH, twelve grandchildren; Pamela Warman, Daphne Prater, Teresa McCarty, Becky Black, Patrick Young, Eugene Young, Dale Young, Melanie Erwin, Carrie Jo Hensler, Amy Swartz, Nelson Young, Jr. and Terry Allen Young, eighteen great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.

Private graveside services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Pallbearers include Eugene Young, Dale Young, Patrick Young, Nelson Young, Jr., Cameron Swartz and Chris Erwin.

Honorary Pallbearers include John Black and Gerald Prater.
