Noble Hawkins

Lexington

Mr. Noble Conway Hawkins, 85 of Lexington a native of Bath County, passed away Saturday morning in the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital - Main in Lexington after an extended illness, was born July 3, 1934 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late George Lee and Jenny C. Emmons Hawkins.

He was retired contractor and was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean conflict.

Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Highlands Baptist Church and enjoyed playing his guitar, sports of all kinds and especially time with his family and keeping up with his grandchildren's sports activities.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hawkins and three sisters, Mary Helen Curry, Margaret Welch and Elizabeth Manley.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Toy Hawkins whom he married January 2, 1960. Three sons, Jim (Jenny) Ayres of Houston, Texas, Michael Hawkins of Louisville, Kentucky and Patrick (Michelle) Hawkins of Sellersburg, Indiana. One daughter, Kimberly (Chuck) Karasinski of Louisville, Kentucky.  One brother, George Robert (Funny) Hawkins of Bethel, Kentucky. One sister, Ethel Bashford of Cincinnati, Ohio. Seven grandchildren, Katy Hawkins, Cody Hawkins, Jordan Hawkins, Parker Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Mady Hawkins and Sean Hawkins. Also, several nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Ken Bashford officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Sharpsburg.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday.

Serving as pall bearers will be Cody Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Sean Hawkins, Parker Hawkins, Jimmy Clyde Hawkins, Jr. Hawkins, Jerry Adkins and Tony Toy.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Noble Conway Hawkins.
