Patricia Moody

Mrs. Patricia Mae McGlothin Moody, 83 of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Thursday evening April 5, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Salt Lick.  She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on May 27, 1934 to the late William and Mary Jane McCarty McGlothin.

Mrs. Moody was a retired cook having worked at Town and Country in Camargo for many years. She was a member of the Olympia Christian Church and enjoyed playing the piano and organ, working and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed babysitting in her home and was a caregiver to many of her family members.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Woodrow, Eugene and William, her sisters, Clista, Nevada, Marcia, Elsie and Rita. Also, three infant siblings and a grandson, Dennis Moody.

Survivors include her children, Gene Moody of Owingsville, Kentucky, Barry Moody of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Kelly Moody of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Sharon Hunt and her husband Rocky of Salt Lick, Kentucky and Lynn Del-Carpio of Owingsville, Kentucky. A brother, Walter McGlothin and his wife Joyce of Olympia, Kentucky. Six grandchildren, Brandon, James, Kellie, Zachary, Stephanie and Tracey. Eight great-grandchildren and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Pastor Dennis Carman officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

Serving as pall bearers will be Brandon Moody, Zachary Moody, Caden Skaggs, Rocky Hunt, Jeremy Skaggs, Travis Townsend and Anthony Bell.
