Phyllis Ann Nickerson

Phyllis Ann Markland Nickerson, 74, of Bethel, Kentucky passed away at her home on Thursday, September 14, 2023, after an extended illness. 

She was born on September 20, 1948, in Bourbon County, Kentucky to the late Clarence Thomas Markland and Lenora Faye Reynolds Markland. 

Phyllis enjoyed playing games on her tablet/phone, playing bingo, and cooking for her loved ones.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Donald Ray Watkins Jr and Nancy Carol Sumpter, one great-grandchild, Alahna McKinney, and three sisters, Louise Nickerson, Peggy Ring, and Bonny Powell. 

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Wiggins of Bethel, two sisters, Linda Mitchell of Ohio and Brenda Hill of Bethel, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

A visitation for Phyllis will be from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville.
