Richard Carl Preece, Jr.

Richard Carl Preece, Jr., 56, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

He was born on January 29, 1965 in Austin, Texas, a son of Della Mae Arnold Preece and the late Richard Carl Preece.

Carl was a tow truck driver for H & H Towing.

He enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars, watching television, camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Preece.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Skeen Preece, one son, Richard Thomas Preece of Prestonsburg, one daughter, Patricia Preece (Samuel Fox) of Prestonsburg, his mother, Della Mae Arnold Preece of Pflugerville, Texas, three brothers, Michael Beard of Georgetown, Texas, Byron Temple (Darla) of Whiteland, Indiana and Douglas Preece of Pflugerville, Texas, one sister, Carline Schreiber of Georgetown, Texas and three grandchildren, Reilly Ryan, Addison Fox and Mason Fox.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 89 Slate Ave. Owingsville, Kentucky 40360 with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Burial will be in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.

Visitation will be from 10 - 11 AM Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to an education fund which is being set-up for his grandchildren.
