Ricky Lee Vice, 18, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Bath County. He was born on February 6, 2007, in Morehead, Kentucky.  The son of Ricky Vice of Sharpsburg, Kentucky and Rebecca Goodpaster Sams (Perry) of Carlisle, Kentucky.  Ricky was a senior at Bath County High School, where he was a proud member of the FFA for four years. He was an employee at the Owingsville Save-A-Lot. 

Ricky had a deep passion for life, reflected in his love for fishing, hunting, and tinkering with anything that had a motor. He also found joy in the excitement of demolition derbies and treasured moments spent with his friends and family. His interests encompassed both adventure and camaraderie, and he will be remembered for the laughter and enthusiasm he brought to those around him.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandmother, Patricia Thomas (Scott) of Owingsville; his paternal grandmothers, Betty Vice and Bonnie Sams both of Sharpsburg; and his maternal great grandmother, Patricia Thompson of Tollesboro, Kentucky. Ricky's siblings, Alyssa Vice, Madyson Baker, and Ava Sams, all of Owingsville, share the loss of their beloved brother. He is also survived by his aunts, Amanda Fox of Columbus, Ohio, Yolanda Sams and Julie Rudd (Nick) and an uncle, Don Sams all of Sharpsburg, along with aunt Anna Wright (Robert), uncles, Travis Vice and Bryan Mitchell (Shelia), nieces and nephews, Audreana, Tristen, Adrian, Talia, and Javier Thomas, Abbigail Mitchell, and Lilly Purvis, all of Owingsville.

Ricky was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Danny Goodpaster and paternal grandfathers, Ricky Vice and Charles Sams.

The visitation for Ricky will be begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Owingsville First Church of God, located at 320 Slate Ave, Owingsville, KY 40360.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for the final arrangements for Ricky Lee Vice.
