Robert "Tyler" Bennett, 33, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on January 24, 1989. The son of Bob Bennett and Lisa Neal.
Tyler worked as a Community Liaison at Addiction Recovery Care where he enjoyed helping individuals through their most difficult times. He enjoyed exercising at the gym, listening to music, spending time with family and shopping so that he could always look his best. Tyler was a passionate person who never met a stranger and loved to make others laugh even if it meant he had to embarrass himself. He was known to have a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Derek Jones.
Survivors include his parents, Bob Bennett and Lisa Neal both of Mt. Sterling, his wife, Ashley Bennett, four sons, Dreshawn Bennett, Blake Holland, Karson Hymel and Gibson Shrout, his sister, Ciara Miller, paternal grandmother, Margaret Tungate and maternal grandmother, Martha Goldy both of Mt. Sterling, two nieces, Scarlett and Penelope Miller and one on the way, his uncle, Ricky Neal and cousins Brandon Neal and Justin Neal and his special friend who he thought of as a brother, Jeremy Payne all of Mt. Sterling and all his friends and colleagues at Genesis Recovery.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Mt. Sterling First Church of God with Pastor David Dooley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
Visitation at the Mt. Sterling First Church of God will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday.
Pallbearers include, Jeremy Payne, Dreshawn Bennett, Karson Hymel, Jesse Spears, Glen Lett, Herschel Lawson, Jimbo Plowman and Jeremy Bradley.
