Robert Withrow

Robert Earl “Rob” Withrow, 53, of Owingsville, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

He was born on January 8, 1965, to Jewell Proffitt Withrow and the late Irvin Withrow.

Rob was a forklift operator for CTI Foods, served in the Army National Guard, owned a Lawn Care Business and was a member of the Mud Lick Church of God.

He was a 1983 graduate of Bath County High School, where he excelled at playing football.  His football jersey number was 38.  He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and sports.  Rob was an avid Green Bay Packers and University of Kentucky sports fan.  He was very active in the Bath County Little League, where he umpired, coached, was a Board Member and President.

Rob was recognized and awarded a Medal of Valor for saving the life of a man in an automobile accident.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Goldie Withrow, whom he married on July 3, 2004, three sons, Austin Crank (Shelby) of Olympia, Craig Withrow (Jessica) of Marion, Ohio and Jesse Withrow of Salt Lick, two daughters, Haley Withrow at home and Heather Hardin (Kyle) of Salt Lick, his mother, Jewell Proffitt Withrow of Salt Lick, one sister, Mary Lou Robinson (Gary) of Salt Lick, his mother-in-law, Stella Goldie of Owingsville, nine grandchildren, one niece and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Mud Lick Church of God with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Old Virginia Cemetery.

Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Mud Lick Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Armitage, Charlie Kissick, Craig Withrow, Steve Becknell, Scotty McCarty, Johnny Botts, Glen Hartley and Phillip Riddle.

Contributions are suggested to the Bath County Middle School Lady Cats Softball or the Bath County Little League Baseball.
