Samuel Burgess

Samuel Edward Burgess, 36 of Bethel, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born December 28, 1985 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to Mary Lou Bowles Burgess and the late Jimmy Edward Burgess.

Sam had held several different jobs throughout his life and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include one son, George Trenton Cole Burgess, his mother, Mary Lou Bowles Burgess of Bethel, Two brothers, Jimmy Joe Burgess of Bethel and and Daniel Scott Burgess of Mt. Sterling. Three aunts, Nora Hilton, Wilma McCarty and Peggy McCarty. Also, several cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville, Kentucky with Daniel Burgess officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 11:00 am Wednesday.

Pall bearers will be family and friends.
