Seldon Burton

February 1, 1933 — January 14, 2014

Seldon was a Bath County native. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and a member of the Freewill Baptist church.

Seldon is survived by his wife, Mildred Hazel Burton of Owingsville; two daughters, Wanda (Bill) Hunt of Winchester and Edith (John) Corey of Owingsville; seven grandchildren, Lacy, Jonathon, Shannon, Ryan, Nathaniel, Amy and Carl; four great grandchildren, Adrianne, Savannah, Dixie, Sara-Lee; one brother, Forest (Liz) Burton of Owingsville; two sisters, Nora Montgomery of Owingsville and Phyllis (Ronnie) Downs of Salt Lick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Roger Goodpaster.

Seldon was preceded in death by two step daughters, Dixie Ludwig and Donna Elam; one stepson, Bobby Ewings and his first wife, Maxine Mullins Burton.
