Mrs. Virginia May Cole Ratliff, 83, of Bethel, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky after an extended illness.

She was born on February 14, 1936 in Clark County, Kentucky to the late Robert & Goldie Welch Cole.

Virginia was the owner and operator of her own custom window treatment business where she done drapery work for many years.  She enjoyed sewing, birdwatching, tending to her flowers, cooking, decorating and working in her yard.  She also admired her cats and dogs, collecting Iris and spending time with her beloved family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Blair Ratliff who passed away on February 14, 2007, four brothers, Raymond, Rueben, Harold, and Henry Stiver, one sister, Goldie West and one daughter in law, Lynn Ratliff.

Survivors include one son, Billy Keith Ratliff of Winchester and one daughter, Paula Pfister of Sharpsburg, three grandchildren, Audrey Smith (Dennis) of Mt. Sterling, Allison Halligan (Ryan) of Winchester and Nick Pfister of Christiansburg, Virginia, two great grandchildren, Tucker Smith and Kennedy Smith and a special niece, Linda Serafini.  Survivors also include many nephews, great nieces and other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Roy Stacy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be From 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers include, Harold "Bubba" West, Dennis Smith, Nick Pfister, Ryan Halligan, Stevie Guy and Eddy Goldy.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is caring for all the arrangements for Mrs. Virginia Cole Ratliff.
